How do I get free CS2 skins on SkinStash?

Four ways, none of which cost money. Recurring giveaways put real skins into your Steam inventory. Reward tasks pay out site balance you can spend on any item we hold. Signing in with Steam for the first time unlocks a starter bonus. And every trade raises your level, with each level paying a further balance reward.

Are the free skins really free?

Yes. Giveaways, tasks, the login bonus and level rewards all pay out in real items or site balance with no purchase and no deposit. SkinStash earns a small margin on the difference between the skins traded in and out, so nothing is sold to you.

Can I sell my skins for real money?

No. SkinStash is item for item. You trade skins you no longer want for skins you do want, and any difference in value is settled in site balance rather than cash. There is no withdrawal to a bank card, PayPal or crypto. If you are looking to cash out, SkinStash is not the right site.

How does trading work?

Sign in with Steam and your inventory loads automatically. Pick the skins you are offering, pick the skins you want in return, and confirm. The bot sends a Steam trade offer within seconds. You accept it in Steam, confirm it in the Steam Mobile app, and the items swap. No waiting for another person to show up.

Is SkinStash safe, and do you need my Steam password?

We never see your password. You sign in through Steam's own OpenID, the same way every legitimate Steam site works, and every trade runs through Steam's official trade offer system. Our bot always sends the offer to you, so you never send items first and never need to add anyone as a friend.

When the offer goes out we show you the bot's avatar, name, Steam level and the year its account was created. Check those against the offer that lands in Steam. Impersonators copy the name and the picture, but they cannot copy the account. Nobody from SkinStash will ever ask for your password or your Steam Guard code.

Why can't I trade an item I just received?

Steam holds newly traded items for seven days before they can move again. This is a Valve rule that applies to every site and every trade, not just SkinStash. The item is yours immediately; only trading it onward is delayed.

How do I find my Steam trade URL?

In Steam, open Inventory, then Trade Offers, then "Who can send me Trade Offers?". Your trade URL is at the bottom of that page. It contains a token that lets the bot send you an offer without being on your friends list. Sharing it is safe: it allows someone to send you an offer, never to take anything from you.

How are skin prices decided?

Prices come from live Buff163 market data rather than a fixed table. Float value, paint seed, StatTrak, Doppler phase and any applied stickers or charms all count toward what an item is worth, so a low float Field-Tested skin is not priced the same as a worn one.

What is cashback?

Every completed trade returns 1% of the value you traded away as site balance. It credits automatically 8 days after the trade, which clears Steam's reversal window. On even one for one item trades you also get up to 1% bonus value to help balance the swap.
